Homestead Gardens

As the largest enclosed garden center in the Baltimore–Washington, D.C. area, Homestead Gardens blends impressive and expansive curated retail with educational outreach, a collaborative beer farm, a beautiful event center, community fundraising, and environmental advocacy.

The Beer Farm at Homestead Gardens is a unique collaboration with Brookeville Beer Farm. This partnership unites two farming families to create a community-focused haven where friends and neighbors can enjoy exceptional craft beer. Their state-of-the-art ten-barrel brewery and inviting TapRoom, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating, provide the perfect setting for relaxation and connection.

The Woodlands at Homestead Gardens is a unique venue where rustic charm meets modern elegance. Incorporating a Pavilion, a Patio and multiple Pergolas, it is a perfect venue for weddings, milestone celebrations, and unforgettable gatherings in an enchanting countryside setting.

At Homestead Gardens Kids’ Club, they host engaging and educational activities throughout the year. From planting seeds in spring, exploring the science of soil in summer, crafting with nature’s bounty in autumn, to celebrating the magic of plants in winter, each class is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity, encourage hands-on exploration, and connect children to the beauty and wonder of the natural world—no matter the season.

Signature events like their semiannual Girls Night Out and Fall Festival have helped them raise funds for dozens of local nonprofit organizations, while providing unforgettable experiences for families across the region.

Their sustainability initiatives, such as watershed restoration and agriculture-in-schools, continue to inspire the next generation of gardeners, horticulturists, and stewards of the Earth.
