Messick’s Farm Market

Messick’s Farm Market is a third-generation family farm located in Bealeton, Virginia, with agricultural roots dating back to the 1920s. Originally established as a dairy farm on more than 1,000 acres in Fauquier County, the Messick family continues to carry on the farming legacy today. Brothers Ronnie and Jimmy Messick now lead the operation—Ronnie managing the dairy with a herd of more than 350 cattle, and Jimmy overseeing the farm market and crop production alongside their families.

Over time, the farm has grown into a vibrant agritourism destination while remaining deeply rooted in traditional agriculture. The farm cultivates more than 50 acres of crops including strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, herbs, flowers, and other seasonal produce. Visitors can experience the harvest firsthand through popular pick-your-own seasons for strawberries and pumpkins, while the fields supply fresh produce for the farm market and local CSA shares.

The farm market serves as a hub for both farm-grown goods and local products. Guests can shop for fresh fruits and vegetables, preserves, cheeses, and artisan foods sourced from regional producers. A made-to-order deli, prepared meals, and sweet treats like ice cream make the market a welcoming stop for families looking to enjoy a farm-fresh meal.

Beyond the market, Messick’s offers a lively outdoor space where visitors can relax and explore the farm. Picnic areas overlook the fields, while children enjoy playgrounds, bounce areas, farm animals, and the well-known “Messick’s Mountain” slide. These attractions—combined with seasonal festivals and pick-your-own experiences—create a destination where agriculture, family fun, and community connection come together.

Blending generations of farming tradition with hands-on experiences for visitors, Messick’s Farm Market continues to grow as a place where families can gather, enjoy the harvest, and experience the joy of life on the farm.
